Cell Phone Accessories

Q: Will this phone holder (Model 38920) charge my phone when it is placed in this unit?
A: This product is designed simply as a phone holder and will not charge the phone battery.

Clothes Bar

Q: Is there a limit on the amount of clothing I should hang on the clothes bar?
A: Even fully extended the clothes bar will hold all the clothing you can hang on it without bowing. When installing the clothes bar, please make sure that both ends are properly anchored.

Q: What is the maximum length that a clothes bar can expand to?
A: Depending on the model purchased, a clothes bar can expand from 36 to 56 inches (model 00056) or 35 to 56 inches (model 00073).

Compasses

Q: Can I mount the compass upside down in order to roof mount the unit?
A: The compass cannot be mounted upside down. The bracket on models 2000 and 2110 may be rotated to the top for a roof mount.

Q: My compass does not work?
A: If your compass does not work, please take a few moments to reread the instructions. If you do not have a copy of the instructions, locate your compass in our product catalog page and click on the INSTRUCTIONS area. This will display the instruction insert that was included in your packaging. You may also need to set the magnetic variance adjustment (MVA) for the compass in order to allow for variance in your particular geographic region. To get the variance setting, click HERE. Also, bubbles in compass models 2110 and 24000 should not be larger than ½ inch in diameter and in model 2000 should not show below the case top. If the bubbles in your compass do not match the model indications stated above, you might need to return the compass where purchased and obtain a new one.

Q: My compass is not reading correctly.
A: The compass is read from the front, not top down. Heading North with the compass facing you, the 'N' should appear behind the red lubber line. If your compass still does not work try calibrating the compass outside of the car (away from the vehicle) first. If it works outside of the vehicle, there is magnetic field interference inside the vehicle. This could be coming from a high concentration of metal, the radio, the engine, etc. Try the compass in other positions inside the vehicle until you find a position that works. Once you find a good position, make sure the compass still works after turning the vehicle, radio, cd player and tape player on/off.

Q: What is the fluid used in the compass?
A: The fluid used to fill the compass is a refined form of mineral spirits. It may have a slight odor, however it is non-toxic and non-carcinogenic.

Deer Warnings

Q: How do deer warnings work?
A: Deer warnings use high-pitched sound to frighten deer away from you vehicle. Our deer warnings have two (2) sounds for wider sound transmission. One unit should be open and one unit closed.

Q: How should I mount the warnings?
A: Deer warnings need good airflow in front, side and rear of the unit. Do not mount them in your grill. Warnings will work best if mounted on the bumper or hood of the vehicle.

Q: My deer warnings aren’t working.
A: Deer warnings should be clean to function properly. If your windshield is dirty, your deer warnings are dirty. Remove from the mount, separate and clean.
